Thank you again for your puzzle package.
The residents were so pleased and the social care team has already completed many puzzles with the residents since then.
But unlike most members of the puzzle club, our residents have been doing the puzzles at home, without a timer to keep them going.
Our resident Elisabeth (85) is the most passionate puzzler of all our residents and was delighted to receive the large parcel and examine it in detail. Even before she received the puzzle package from the Puzzle Club, she always had a 500-piece puzzle on her table in her room, and she puzzles away diligently almost every day. When we handed her the parcel, she took two of the puzzles straight to her room, as she wanted to do a quality check to make sure that all the pieces were in the box before the other residents started pouncing on them. ;)
Since that day, a puzzle has been completed every week in a small group; a small puzzle meeting, so to speak, has been organised by our social care team.
It's particularly great that the puzzles have large pieces and always have a smaller number of pieces overall, so residents with dementia can also take part and try their hand at them, as well as those who can no longer see so well.
As a member of the association, I also put together a puzzle with our trainee from the parcel, which is also good to do alongside our day-to-day work. :)
We are so grateful to Puzzleverein Deutschland that we were selected for this great campaign.
Puzzling is simply something for everyone, no matter how old you are.
