Each pair must solve two previously unpublished 500-piece puzzles individually developed for the championship in a maximum of 120 minutes.
The order of the puzzles can be freely chosen by the pair. The second puzzle may only be started once the first has been completed and the completeness has been confirmed by an official. If a pair decides to change a puzzle even though the first puzzle has not yet been completed, the first puzzle must be completely dismantled into individual pieces and packed into the box. This completion must also be confirmed by an official before the second puzzle can be started.
The winner is the pair that completely assembles both puzzles in the shortest time. If no pair finishes both puzzles, the pair that has placed the most pieces correctly in time wins. All matching pieces are counted from a group size of 3 pieces.
The table size is 70 x 180 cm and 2 pairs are placed on each table.
The participants may keep the puzzles.
